We have several exciting new volunteering opportunities at our Centre in Credenhill:

Fancy getting your paws dirty moulding clay? Then this could be for you. Have fun whilst helping clients be creative in pottery. Classes are held on Wednesdays and Thursday mornings, under the supervision of renowned Potter Verity Howard. We even have our own kiln to fire the works in afterwards. We need three volunteers willing to do a few hours each.

β€œArt liberates the soul, provokes the imagination and encourages people to go further.” Be part of our wonderful Art classes, supporting clients to be their best. All under the direction of resident artists Ginn and Angie. We require three volunteers to help bring colour to the days of others. Classes are on Tuesday and Wednesdays. Any number of hours is helpful.
Enjoy the smell of freshly sawn wood, the buzz of a busy workshop, being creative with nature? Then look no further. We require two volunteers to assist clients to undertake woodwork, under the watchful eye of Woodwork Tutor Mark Pakenham. We make chairs, tables, chess sets, trugs, pretty much everything. Classes are on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. Any number of hours would be helpful.

Music is the fruit of life, and it plays an important part at Headway too. We require a volunteer who is not afraid to sing with clients for a few hours on Tuesday afternoons. If you can play a musical instrument even better, although not essential. Our Music Therapist Hilary would love to meet you.

Not sure where you would like to volunteer? Then try our taster sessions for a few weeks before you decide. Alternatively come and look round and have a chat with us.
