We are looking for a skilled volunteer who can work with fellow trustees and the Home-Start Herefordshire Scheme Manager to provide strategic and operational guidance.

The board are responsible for the vision and strategy of the scheme as well as overseeing finances, staff and property and whilst this is a serious commitment with legal and financial responsibilities, they have no personal financial liability as the Herefordshire scheme is a company limited by guarantee.

You don’t need special qualifications to be a trustee, common sense, flexibility and an ability to work as part of a team and a willingness to learn and understand the pressures facing parents today with a genuine interest in supporting families in your community are just as important to us. But, if you have a background in business, an understanding of IT, you are fabulous at fundraising, understand law or are a whizz in human resources then that would be a bonus.

In return for volunteering for very few hours a month, Trustees will be able to enhance their own skills, knowledge, self-confidence and professional networks and know that they have made a real difference to families in Herefordshire.
